As a licensed Body Mapping Educator, Michèle Wheatley-Brown has discovered a way to move with more expression and ease. Playing and teaching is a real joy and she can hear and feel that connection between motion and emotion of music—in both her students and herself.

Michèle believes it is so important to teach movement based on sound biomechanical principles. Playing-related pain and injury is an epidemic among musicians. It is time to address this in our pedagogy by teaching movement based on the body’s anatomical design. Michèle is delighted to bring her experience and knowledge to musicians in Western Canada.

Michèle is an active teacher, adjudicator, and examiner with the Royal Conservatory of Music and Music Achievement Program in Canada and the United States. She performs both as a solo and collaborative pianist with a wide variety of instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs.

As founding Artistic Director for a highly successful classical concert series, Michèle has a passion for making music a vital part of community life.
