Chantel Bennett is a soprano who has completed her 4^th year of a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Western Ontario. She grew up in the Okanagan and started singing classically in 2019. Immediately she fell in love with it. Recently she was a soloist for the Western Opera Gala, where she performed scenes from Idomeneo (Electra), Orpheus in the Underworld (Minerva), and Dido and Aeneas (Belinda). She also had the opportunity to study with José van Dam at L’Académie musicale de Villecroze in France this May. She is ecstatic to be participating in this year’s VOSI program!
