Tenor Kiho Sohn, a second-year Master of Music student at UBC, has developed an impressive repertoire under the guidance of Nancy Hermiston, following previous studies with Melanie Kruger and J. Patrick Raftery. His notable performances include Marco in The Gondoliers, the lead in Shadow Catch, and the Gamekeeper in Rusalka. He portrayed Fenton in Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor and collaborated with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra as Don Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro. During his graduate studies, Kiho appeared as the Schoolmaster in The Cunning Little Vixen and sang the tenor solo in City Opera’s Song from the Uproar: The Lives and Death of Isabelle Eberhardt. He also performed the Prince in Rusalka in the Czech Republic and was honored with the dual role of Zhou Ping in Thunderstorm, a Mandarin opera by Kangnian Tang and Emily Pan, conducted by Ken Hsieh. continues to captivate audiences.
