Soprano Sophia Friesen was raised on music and performance. After an adolescence of musical theatre and RCM exams, Sophia earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance at the University of Victoria. At UVic, she learned much and fell in love with opera! Since graduation, she has worked for the Vernon Proms Classical Music Festival, performed in musicals with the Kelowna Actors Studio, and performed with Alexandra Babbel’s AMICI and Candesca ensembles as both a member and soloist. With her combined repertoire and her work both on and off the stage, Sophia is one of the most versatile lyric sopranos performing today.
