Taylor Pardell, soprano, is a graduate of Vancouver Opera’s Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program. She received her M.Mus in Opera from the University of British Columbia, a B.Mus in Voice from the University of Toronto, and a Dip.Mus in Voice from the Victoria Conservatory of Music.
With Vancouver Opera, Taylor performed the role of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, La Fée in Cendrillion (Viardot), and Barbarina/Susanna u/s in Le Nozze di Figaro. Other performance credits include: Gilda (Rigoletto), Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Ensemble/Betty Haynes u/s (White Christmas), and the title role in The Cunning Little Vixen/Příhody Lišky Bystroušky. Her concert repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.
Ms. Pardell has been a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, and Opera Kelowna. She is proud to have been a Semi-Finalist in the Lotte Lenya Competition, Winner of the American Protégé Competition, Runner Up at the National Music Festival of Canada and the Voices of Brooklyn Competition.
Taylor is a soprano member of classical-crossover group Vivace. She has enjoyed singing across opera and musical theatre genres, being a national anthem singer, and having her voice performance videos used as part of the Pre-Show Entertainment for Metallica: WorldWired Tour.
